How to Dress “High Fashion” on a Budget

What is everyone up to this weekend?! I don’t know about you but I was so ready for the weekend this week. I’m going to head up to St. Augustine today to shoot some new content for the blog!

Sometimes we all want to show off a look that says we spent a pretty penny on our outfit, but our budget won’t always allow us to do so! There’s a few key things to look for when you want to look high fashion without breaking the bank.

Details! Look for outfit pieces heavy in details for an “expensive” look. The skirt I’m wearing here (only $64 by Style Link Miami) is beautifully designed with ornate details. Embellishment also helps, as it naturally gives off a “glitzy” vibe. The best embellishment you’ll find that is both stylish and budget appropriate is sequins. Metallic colored sequins looks best for the type of outfit we’re going for here. When done the right way, as can be seen with this skirt, they easily up the “worth” of an outfit. A great fit is also key. Look for pieces with a small amount of spandex in the fabrics to give you just enough stretch that the piece conforms to your curves (this skirt is 5% spandex).

You’ll want to pair the “it” item with something equally fashionable but not overpowering. This particular skirt I’m wearing looks pretty amazing with a bodysuit I think (now only $52 by Style Link Miami ). An earthy tone or neatral is going to look best while not outshining your staple piece. Details, albeit subtler ones, will also look good. The lace-up details of this bodysuit, for example, add a sexy touch to the outfit. This bodysuit has a super flattering fit that is both slimming and comfortable. It is of the utmost importance to look for quality as well. If you look hard enough you can find excellent quality pieces while still remaining on a budget. This bodysuit is excellent quality, from the fabric to the fit, it’s top notch.

Thanks for stopping by everyone! Please check back soon and enjoy your weekend! xoxo
