Dressing Sexy and Sophisticated

I hope everyone’s weekend is off to a good start! Does anyone have special plans for Valentines Day? I’ll have to admit that I don’t, but I’m perfectly fine with that. I’m just happy this weather has decided to warm up some! In central Florida we’ve been dressing like northerners this week with full on heavy coats, gloves, and scarves!

Today I’m discussing a look that’s both sexy, and sophisticated! Sometimes we all want to pull off a bit of a sexy look, but most of us would like it to still look classy. With this outfit, the style and fit are what make it on the sexier side. Style-wise, I’m referring to the deep plunging v-neck, which as you can see, provides for a little peek-a-boo action.

The fit is also sexy (it’s a bodycon dress), with a slim, body skimming fit throughout (it’s not tight though like some bodycons, just fitted in a flattering way). This style could be over-the-top if it weren’t for some other factors that play down the sexiness of the look, giving it a more sophisticated appeal. One of these factors is the modest length, with the dress hitting just below the knee.

Adding to the sophistication of the dress is the neutral coloring. The nude shade not only looks chic, but also keeps the dress from looking too sexy (any neutral or black would work also). It’s really about finding a balance between cut, style, and fit; as well as choosing colors wisely.

Shoe choice and accessories play a role too. I kept the look sophisticated by choosing a simple shoe without a large heel in a neutral shade (you can’t go wrong with an all neutral palette). The simplicity of the shoes don’t overpower the dress, and keeps things classy. I chose not to wear much in the form of accessories or jewelry for this look to keep things on the simple, and again, on the sophisticated side.

Thats all for now lovelies! Have a wonderful Valentines Day and enjoy your weekend! Please stop by again soon! xoxo
