Happy (belated) Mother’s Day! I am not a mom yet (well, I am a dog mom), but I certainly hope all of you mommies out there had a special day. My mom has made me who I am today, and she is the most amazing and inspiring woman I know. I could go on, but I’ll stay on topic for you all!
The festival inspired look is definitely one of the biggest fashion trends this season, and nothing pulls together this boho chic look more than festival style jewelry. I tend to wear boho style jewelry conservatively— but layering it on looks fabulous too! Rather you’re retreating to an art festival or music festival, the key to festival jewelry is that if be light, fun, and effortless.
Splashes of color in the form of beads, stones, or crystals are a must for achieving a boho diva look. Statement-making chandelier earrings are also an essential when picking out festival jewelry.
Another key when choosing this type of jewelry: think details, lots of details! Tribal designs and pendants, as well as touches of wood, feathers, and tassels, add a cool artisan touch to your entire festival outfit, like this one by Lucky Star Jewels. You can incorporate this bohemian style into almost all of the jewelry you decide upon –necklaces, earings, and bracelets alike.
Tiered necklaces are one of my personal favorites for adding some festival flare to an outfit. The necklace above features a stone pendant, adding a nice whimsical element. Layering is definitely a festival friend—rather it be with gold chain necklaces, silver, or beaded ones.
Chokers are also a necessity, and can even give an already tiered necklace a very pretty additional layer.
Layering, or stacking your bracelets is also be a nice touch.
Layered necklaces go well with your more everyday looks too–making them an easy way to unleash your inner gypsy (even if you’re not festivalbound). My favorite thing about festival jewelry is this though: there are no rules with how you mix and match different details, and no rules to how you layer your festival pieces! Some great places to start your hunt for festival style jewelry are By Invite Only, Jane and Rye, and Lucky Star Jewels.
Thanks for stopping by my loves! What festival might you be attending in the coming months? Is there any particular festival jewelry you’re currently obsessing over? I’d love to hear about it! Until next time, enjoy the upcoming week beauties!
p.s. This was a collaboration between the brands mentioned above and myself. I was gifted beforehand, but all opinions are my own. 🙂
