Hello lovelies! What is everyone up to this weekend? I am actually typing this from my hotel in NYC above bustling Manhattan, and have a flight back this morning. I’ve been here all week, so I’ll probably rest when I get back! It’s been a difficult two weeks being an Orlando resident, especially living a mere 2 miles from the tragic shooting that has shaken our country.  Thankfully, I didn’t know anyone, but my heart and prayers go out to all the precious lives lost, as well as to the precious lives that live on in the victims friends and family. This is a blog post, however, and if I go on about my feelings regarding the shooting, it won’t be. So instead I’ll just say love will conquer all.

Blush. It is undoubtedly one of the it colors this season—and rompers, well, they’ve given dresses a run for their money as the hot style to wear this summer. Combine the two and you instantly have an outfit force to be reckoned with: the blush romper. This Chiffon Crossover Romper from 2020 Ave is a gorgeous blush color, with a super versatile, keyhole front. The styles in which you can wear the romper are kind of limitless. You can adjust the keyhole neckline to where it’s small and conservative, as shown on the website; or to be wider, making it more fun and flirty, as I’m wearing it—or adjust it to whichever way suits you (there’s lots of stylish possibilities).

One of the great things about this romper (one I think you’ll find true with blush tones in general), is the versatility in which you can accessorize it. I opted for a feminine, minimalistic approach to my jewlry and accessories when I styled this romper—but you could definitely experiment when styling it yourself.

Shoe-wise, I think this color and style is best complimented by a nude shade. You can see that I decided to pair the romper with nude wedges, but you could easily do a strappy heel, mule, or even an open-toe bootie.

  1. Absolutely gorgeous! I remember when rompers were first becoming popular and I would say “I wish it was a dress” now I see dresses and say “I wish it was a romper!” Lol, great post!

    1. Thanks so much Sara! I know what you mean, because when they first, first started getting popular I was really hesitant…now they’re like a go to! 🙂

  2. You look gorgeous Heather!! Welcome to the SC Family : ) I wish I could wear more rompers, but my long torso prevents me at times. Totally agree with your choice of nude shoes to compliment the blush. Have a lovely day!
