I hope everyone had a great weekend! Well, it’s safe to say that fall is in full effect–and I’m still wearing slip dresses! That’s Florida for ya! The weather is starting to cool down ever so slightly though! Nonetheless, I’m going to be bringing you some looks that are more fall-like in the coming weeks!
I love versatile pieces, such as this satin fabric slip dress that I styled three ways for you. Slip dresses, very much trending now, first blew up this past Spring. They’re showing no sign of slowing down in popularity either. This dress is not only versatile, but at less then $50, it has a price point you can smile about too. The only color available now is gold, but you can find a similar version here, and this one is a mere $20!
The slip dress at hand comes with a matching choker, and keeping with the current popularity of 90s fashion, I made good use if it . It could also double as a sash if you wanted though.
To keep this a casual dress look, but also for the sake of trends that I love, I teamed it up with a plain white tee, layered underneath of course. The layer plays down the dress’s high shine a bit, making this first look super wearable for everyday activities. Another great option that I’ve been doing recently is layering a bodysuit under my slip dresses, which I’ve found to be a super functional option!
Open toe mules are the perfect fall transition shoe, and this nude shade pair I styled the dress with make for a fun weekend casual look. Bonus: they’re on sale now too! High five to that!
I wanted to achieve a sporty, yet feminine vibe in the second look. A bomber jacket adds a great sporty vibe. You can wear almost any color or design, but I opted for a tone similar to that of the dress, as well a similar fabric–for lots of shine! Below I’ve linked some other bomber options that would also work.
Adding further to the almost athleisure style is a baseball cap, in a faux-suede finish mind you–to keep things stylish.
Finish the look off with your favorite pair of white or neutral sneakers, and go minimal on the accessories.
The third version of the dress is a more dressed up, night version, which can be achieved very simply. As you can see, all I did was wear nude, strappy heels, and accessorize a bit more.
A nice clutch or handbag always makes for good, practical way to complete a night look. This version is almost a minimalist style, but has an effortless elegance to it too.
Remember, these are all just fashion ideas, make sure you do it your style. Embracing your own unique style makes you more confident, then your outfit can really shine! 🙂
I hope you have a most fabulous weekend my loves, thank you so very much for stopping by! Before I go though, I now want to ask you, what is your favorite way to style a slip dress? I’d love to hear! So leave a comment below so that we can all hear a bit about your fab style. I’ll see you next time!
