Happy humpday beauties! How’s everyone’s holiday shopping going so far? Today’s outfit of the day is featuring a cool, vintage band tee as the focal point. I loved this look from the get go, but being a bit on the girlie side, it was almost too “Tom-boyish” a look for my personal style. So today I wanted to focus on dressing this bad boy up!
Lots of Band Tee Options!
First of all, the great thing about vintage band tee’s is all the choices you have. There’s a lot of options out there, so I’ve included a variety of picks for you below (just click the images to shop). I fell in love with this one because it has the perfect amount of fade to it! Some are less vintagey then others, in the sense that some of the tees look almost new, with minimal fade. In contrast, some look so authentic that they have small rips and holes!
A Mini Skirt Adds Glam
Pairing the band tee with a mini skirt seemed like almost a no-brainier. This one is sold out, but I found a similar one for you here. The mini length adds instant glam to the ensemble, especially when done in leather. I furthermore decided to go with a leather skirt, which give off a rock vibe. If you want to add more color to the look, a vibrant hued mini will also look great. In contrast, a metallic skirt will definitely add a fab factor to your band tee (several shopable examples of both metallic, and colorful minis are below).
Pair with OTK Boots
For shoes, I love these over-the-knee boots for creating a sexy, glam outfit. I found a less expensive pair for you here also. Thigh high boots make your legs look a mile long, while the suede brings a cool contrast to the leather skirt. You can go with any neutral, but black is more muted, and therefore keeps the emphasis on the tee.
Accessorize with Metals
To accessorize, the sky’s the limit with this outfit. If you like getting creative with jewelry, this is a great look to do it with. Most importantly, stick with metal accessories (think silver, gold, and rose gold) rather than colorful pieces, (which is not a good contrast for this look). I styled my ensemble with a statement choker to help dress things up. This piece almost lights up the band tee (and so will the similar options you can find below). Finally, add some bold metal earrings and mixed metal bangles for a finishing touch.
Do you like or love the vintage rock tee trend? How are you styling it this season? Or maybe this trend isn’t your taste. Regardless, I always love to hear your thoughts below! Thank you so much for stopping by, and please do come back soon. Have a wonderful week loves!
